Antacid, like many other medicines may cause side effects depending on person or the chemical ingredient used by the brand. Formulas containing Magnesium may cause diarrhea while ones containing Aluminum or Calcium might cause constipation. Very rarely, kidney stones can be caused by consuming Antacid that contain Calcium.
